In 2016 Lynwood Barns was simply three derelict Victorian farm buildings which had been disused and overlooked for many years. Kerwood Construction saw the potential within these forgotten buildings and set about designing a scheme that maximised their potential whilst also being sympathetic to the sensitivity of the scenic rural setting. By proposing a new central barn, the three original barns could then all be linked together to create one substantial dwelling. The quality of the design won the approval of the planning authority who had rebutted several previous schemes from other developers. What then followed was a 12 month labour of love; a painstaking refurbishment and redevelopment with the end result being a truly remarkable home that offers a perfect blend of original character and modern luxury.
